Shimano Sienna RE Reel

Shimano started its business by creating cycling equipment but diversified into the production of top quality fishing reels in 1970. The Shimano UK division of the company was set up shortly after, in 1988.

The Shimano Sienna RE reel is a low-end rear drag spinning reel is perfect for every angler who likes to fish occasionally, experience the great quality of Shimano but not break the bank in a costly reel.

Made from Xt-7 body material, a Diecast aluminium spool and with 1+1 bearings, the Sienna RE will work best for coarse fishing, especially when paired with a light feeder or float rod. The Shimano reel can also work fine for medium or light spinning for perch, pike or even zander.

With a multipurpose use, the Shimano Spinning reel includes the technology of the Varispeed II line lay and Power Roller. This means great control over both casting and retrieval which is also ideal for predator lure fishing.

The Sienna reel comes in sizes 2500 and 4000. The Size 2500  sports a gear ratio of 5:2:1 and a line capacity of 0.18mm-290yds/0.20mm-240yds /0.25mm-160yds. With a Max Drag of 2kg, the 2500 model weighs 300g. The size 4000 reel boasts a gear ratio of 5:1:1 and a line capacity of 0.25mm-260yds/0.30mm-180yds /0.40mm-100yds. The max drag for the 4000 reels is 3kg and it weighs 365g.
