Okuma Ceymar XT FD Reel
Â
The Okuma Ceymar XT FD Reel is a showcase of lightweight durability. Designed for compact performance, the Ceymar XT spinning reels Blade Body Design reduces the reels bulk to a minimum. The reels body, side plates, and ported-out rotor are made from graphite to minimize weight while keeping corrosion at bay.
Don’t let the sleek design fool you, as with all Okuma fishing reels, the Ceymar XT is built to last. Inside the fishing reels durable chassis lies tough machine-cut brass gearing while the rigid, machined aluminium spool builds a foundation for strength. The heavy duty, solid aluminium bail wire shows that Okuma have looked at every detail of this reel, to ensure that there are no weak points!
The reels rotor features Okumas RES II Rotor Equalizing System, enabling stable and balanced spinning even at breakneck speeds. For maximum casting distance and accuracy, the reel features the Precision Elliptical Gearing technology that minimizes friction on the line.
Available in a wide scope of sizes, the Ceymar XT is fit for several different fishing situations, ranging from lure fishing for pike and perch to float or feeder fishing for carp and tench. It can even be used for fishing off the beach or rocks for bass and wrasse.
To eliminate corrosion, when used in sea lure fishing, the Ceymar XT reel features Okumas proprietary Cyclonic Flow Rotor Technology that ushers all excess moisture out of the spinning reels housing with a cyclone-like airflow. Furthermore, the graphite body of this reel is corrosion resistant, so there is no need to worry about this reel even in the worst fishing conditions.
For those who like to fish ‘clipped up’ there is a plastic line clip on the spool. The shape of this has been designed to not cause any damage to your braid or monofilament.
To ensure that these Okuma reels can be used for even the largest of specimens, a multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag system has been used. This optimises drag performance by creating a smooth delivery of the drag. An essential when you hook a large fish, when it pulls the drag, as the gradual delivery of tension will ensure that there is not too much or too little pressure is exerted on the hook, meaning there is less chance of losing your new PB!
