This insert also helps to increase accuracy and distance as it acts like a dart flight on the cast. These waggler floats are best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom. Dave Harrell recommends using a simple shotting pattern as the float with most of the shot around the base of the float with only a few no.8 or no.10 shot equally spaced down the line and the bottom shot no more than 8-10 inches from the hook.
